The Spirituality Crowbar: Body Awareness and World Peace

Broadcast on June 06, 2023
With Paul Linden, PhD

For centuries, wise people have been telling the world that we should live in peace. It seems we just cannot give up aggression and violence. Why? After 50 years of Aikido and somatic practice, Paul Linden has stumbled on some possible answers. There are real dangers in this world, including humans. It takes power to fight, and win. Anger is our natural way of accessing an explosive strength. Finding strength without anger may be the beginning of spirituality and world peace.

In this session, you’ll discover:

  • Power without love is brutality
  • Love without power is ineffective
  • Power and love without intellectual rigor are harmful
The views expressed are specific to the author/speaker and may vary from the perspectives of The Shift Network's participants, staff, or other speakers.
